Dellner's SKD 4x100 disc brakes are a hydraulic/pressure applied and spring-released unit. The braking force, which reaches up to 258800 N, is directly proportional to the applied pressure.
The brake consists of two symmetrical halves, produced of steel, between which the support structure with variable thicknesses can be mounted to accommodate any brake disc thickness.
The two halves of the 4x100 disc brake has two guide pins that transmit the braking force from the brake pads to the brake housing and mounting stand.
This gives you the benefit of the brake pistons not being subject to radial forces and which contributes to a much longer life for the brake disc.
The SKD 4x100 model is suitable wherever service, stopping, holding and tensioning brakes are required.
Therefore, the types of applications on which the SKD 4x100 disc brakes are used include propulsion propeller shafts, test rigs, metal forming, water turbines, and numerous other applications.
