Disc Brakes | DBA | Eaton-Airflex

Read about the DBA disc brakes made by the world-renowned Eaton Airflex and supplied online by the UK-based Marshward Ltd.

The Airflex DBA disc brakes are spring-applied and can be either air or hydraulically released. The brake discs are solid or ventilated. If solid the brake discs are used in applications that require a heat sink and/or where engagement is infrequent. If wentilated the disc is suitable for high speed cyclic applications. Equal torque is developed in each direction of rotation.

Design features of the DBA disc brakes are as follows:

Their large friction areas means the brakes absorb and dissipate high energy loads that are associated with high inertia and cyclic stops.

Available with a choice of ventilated or solid brake discs.

The DBA elements need minimum adjusting for lining wear.

The single disk units require no wear adjustment and dual disc units require only one wear adjustment during the long life of the friction material.

The static torque capacities reach up to: 386,630 lb·in, 43.050 N·m

Applications on which it can be used include can making machines, conveyors, draglines, power shovels, power presses.

The standard sizes are 117DBA, 217DBA, 121DBA, 221DBA, 129DBA, 229DBA, 329DBA
